Have you ever gotten a performance review where you didn’t agree with your boss’s feedback?
.
Many companies are moving away from the formal, once-a-year feedback-fest that’s known (among other things) as The Annual Performance Review Process.
.
Others remain entrenched in the practice that many experts believe is out of date and ineffective. Mostly because it’s more of a bureaucratic process than an authentic one of sharing meaningful feedback.

And research shows that the majority of employees have no love lost for the performance review process.
.

.
Do you have it out with your manager?
.
Or do you start looking for another job?
.
In this week’s The Muse column I share insight into the review process and what might constitute reasonable cause for having a conversation with HR… or not.
